“One moment, he was laughing and flying kites with his friends. The next, we were running to the hospital, praying our son would survive. Watching him in pain is the hardest thing we have ever faced, but we believe he will heal and return to school someday.”
Last week, during the joyful celebrations of Makar Sankranti, 13-year-old Sanskar Thorat from Nashik, Maharashtra, stepped out to play with his friends, unaware that his life was about to change in an instant. While playing, Sanskar went near an electric board and suffered a severe electric burn injury. What was meant to be an ordinary festive day turned into a nightmare for his family.
