Help Sanika Undergo Lifesaving Heart Surgery

Sanika Markad is a 4-year-old little girl from Parbhani district, Maharashtra. Some time back, she began experiencing severe breathing difficulties. Worried, her parents, Asaram and Savita rushed her to a nearby hospital.

After a sonography test, the doctors discovered that Sanika is suffering from a Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD), a congenital heart condition in which a hole in the septum separates the two lower chambers of the heart, affecting normal blood flow.

The Doctors at JJ Plus Hospitals (2 km from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Railway Station ), Maharashtra have advised that Sanika needs urgent surgical correction. The total cost of the surgery is Rs 4,50,000 (Rupees Four Lakh Fifty Thousand Only).

Sanika’s father, Asaram, works as a farm labourer and earns a daily wage that barely supports their family of five. He has already borrowed money from his employer to continue Sanika’s treatment, but the amount is far beyond what he can afford.
