The disease has led to a major stroke in her brain, inflammation in her kidneys, a dangerously low platelet count, and serious damage to her heart valves. Her condition is so complex that doctors at Ankura Hospital, Hyderabad, Telangana (14.2 km from Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station), have had to perform several critical investigations, including a kidney biopsy, bone marrow biopsy, and transoesophageal echocardiogram.

Harshitha's father, Mr N Krishna, works as a driver and is the only earning member in a family of four. With limited income, a mountain of debt, and living in a rented apartment, he is struggling to bear the Rs. 12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve Lakh Only) treatment cost.
