A Family’s Desperate Plea for Help: Help Save Jeremiah from Leukaemia

“It’s been a month since we found out. My son has always been so full of life, but now I see him in pain every day. I just want to save him, but I can’t do it alone. Please help us.”

Prashanth ; (Father)

Jeremiah was like any other child until a month ago when his shoulder pain became unbearable. His father, Prashanth, took him to the local doctor, only to be told that the pain was a symptom of something far more serious. Jeremiah was sent to Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla, Kerala (3.5 km from Thiruvalla Railway Station) where further tests revealed the devastating news: he was suffering from B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.

Jeremiah’s family, consisting of five members, faces a terrible financial burden. His father works as a salesman, and with a minimal income, he has already fallen into debt due to previous treatments and tests. The doctors have proposed Chemotherapy for Jeremiah, but the cost of treatment is a staggering Rs. 8,00,000 (Rupees Eight Lakh Only). This is an impossible amount for the family to bear on their own.
