“My son is just five years old, and he has already been through so much. It’s hard to see him in the hospital, but we are hopeful that he’ll overcome this illness. He needs a little help to keep fighting.”

Jasvanth’s life has been filled with challenges from the very start. Born prematurely at eight months, he was often unwell, and prone to frequent infections, and his parents grew used to rushing him to the doctor. However, a few months ago, their lives changed when Jasvanth was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML), a severe and life-threatening form of blood cancer.

Doctors at Medicover Cancer Institute in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh, have recommended a Bone Marrow Transplant to give Jasvanth a fighting chance. The treatment costs Rs. 15,00,000 (Rupees Fifteen Lakh Only), a sum unimaginable for his father, Shiva, a labourer who works tirelessly to support his family of four. Living in a small rented home, Shiva and his wife Durga, a housewife, have done everything possible, borrowing money and using all their savings to get treatment for their young son.
