One-year-old Vedika Mehta from Haridwar, Uttarakhand, is a cheerful child with a bright smile, but behind that smile is a painful struggle. Her parents noticed that she often cried due to pain in her leg. As the pain continued, they took her for a check-up. After an X-ray and further tests, doctors diagnosed her with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH)— a condition that affects the hip joint, making it difficult and painful to walk.
