Just one and a half years old, Tanisha Begum, daughter of Selim Uddin Laskar and Humera Begum, from Rangareddy, Telangana, is battling a serious heart condition that most children never have to face. She has been diagnosed with Situs Solitus Levocardia and a Cyanotic Congenital Heart Defect known as D-Transposition of Great Arteries, a condition where the two major arteries carrying blood from the heart are reversed, making it difficult for her tiny body to get the oxygen it needs.

For Selim and Humera, life has changed completely since their daughter's diagnosis. Their two older children, a daughter and a son, have had to stay back at their native place while the couple stays in Hyderabad, doing everything they can to get Tanisha the treatment she needs. Watching their little girl struggle for something as basic as breath has left them constantly anxious, yet they hold on to hope for her recovery.

Doctors at Medicover Hospitals, Hyderabad (roughly 10 to 12 km from Lingampally Railway Station), have recommended a Senning's Procedure, a surgery that will help correct the abnormal blood flow and give Tanisha a real chance at a healthy life. The estimated cost of the treatment is Rs. 6,00,000 (Rupees Six Lakh Only).

Selim works as an auto driver, and with an income that is far from steady, arranging such a large sum feels almost impossible for the family. With three children to raise and a household to run, every day brings a new struggle to make ends meet. Despite it all, Selim and Humera have not given up hope. With the right support, Tanisha can undergo this life-saving surgery and get the chance to grow up alongside her brother and sister.
