“The joys of teenage years shouldn’t be robbed from anyone, sadly that is exactly what has happened to my daughter, Sivanya. Since her diagnosis, she hasn’t been able to go to school and only talks to her friends via phone calls. She dearly misses them and wishes to experience those same innocent pleasures once again. ”

Sivanya is just like any other fourteen-year-old. Residing in Ernakulam, Kerala, she desires to experience the fruits of life and is filled with hope for the future. However, ever since being diagnosed with Chronic Immune Thrombocytopenia, her life has come to a standstill.

She was officially diagnosed in December 2023. Ever since then, she hasn’t gone to school, fearing infection. She gets taken down by fever and pneumonia and has to take injections weekly. Sivanya wants to study and have normal interactions with her friends, but this simple wish has been denied to her, but you can change that.

According to the doctors at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (11.8 km from Kochi Railway Station), her treatment costs Rs.11,00,000/- (Rupees Eleven Lakh Only), an amount unimaginable for her father.

Sivanya’s father, Shameg, is the sole breadwinner in his family of four. He works as a driver and doesn’t have a fixed income. He has taken help from his loved ones but is still finding it difficult to meet the expense.
