Shreyash Mhatre is a 14-year-old boy from Nagzari Ghot, Raigarh, Maharashtra, who has been battling a serious heart condition from the very start of his life. He is suffering from Severe Aortic Regurgitation, where his heart valves fail to close properly, causing leaking and swelling that has only grown worse with time. Despite all of this, he continues to attend school and is currently in the 10th standard.

When Shreyash was just 2 years old, his family got him through his first open-heart surgery, a VSD closure and Aortic Valve Repair, clinging to the hope that it would give him a normal life. But the years since have been filled with recurring symptoms and repeated hospital visits, and his condition has now reached a point where further surgery can no longer be delayed.

Doctors at Fortis Hospital, Mumbai (approximately 2 km from Mulund Railway Station, Central Line), have advised a Redo Sternotomy with Aortic Valve Replacement or Ross Procedure. The estimated cost of treatment is Rs. 4,35,000 (Rupees Four Lakh Thirty-Five Thousand Only).

Hanuman works as a helper in a temporary private job, and the income is barely enough to run a household of five. Pratiksha is a homemaker, and two of their children are currently in school. With no savings and no stability, arranging this amount feels like a crushing burden. Yet, every day, this family holds on to the hope that their son will get the help he needs.
