“When she fell in school, we thought it was just a fracture that would heal with time. We never imagined it would turn out to be cancer. Watching my daughter go through so much pain at such a young age is heartbreaking. We only hope she receives the treatment she needs to recover.”
Three months ago, Sanskruti Patil, a 13-year-old girl from Kolhapur, Maharashtra, was enjoying a normal day at school when an unexpected fall changed everything. The accident left her with severe pain, and her parents soon realised that the bones near her knee and thigh had fractured. Concerned, they rushed her to a doctor. While examining the injury, the doctor found the fracture unusual and recommended further scans and a biopsy. The reports soon revealed a difficult diagnosis, Osteogenic Sarcoma, a serious form of bone cancer.
