Last week, during the joyful celebrations of Makar Sankranti, 13-year-old Sanskar Thorat from Nashik, Maharashtra, stepped out to play with his friends, unaware that his life was about to change in an instant. While playing, Sanskar went near an electric board and suffered a severe electric burn injury. What was meant to be an ordinary festive day turned into a nightmare for his family.
Sanskar has been discharged, he has been called again on 23/24 th Feb after checking the wound doctors will decide about next treatment.
Sanksar's hand skin grafting will be scheduled after 2-3 days depending upon wound condition_ Currently kept in a private Room, under Doctors observation.
Sanskar's debridement was done on 7th Feb under general anesthesia, currently under observation.
Sanskar is currently in ICU, after leg amputation his skin grafting/flap covering is on hold as doctors are waiting for the wound to be clean, stable and infection free; once it is achieved sking grafting will be scheduled.
Sanskar is currently admtted in ICU, his debridement under GA and flap covering has been planned after 4-5 days.
