Seven-year-old Niyath Xavier from Ernakulam, Kerala, was a bright and cheerful child, full of life and curiosity. But everything changed when he suddenly suffered a severe seizure just four weeks ago. Alarmed and terrified, his parents rushed him to the hospital. After several tests, the doctors diagnosed him with Seronegative autoimmune encephalitis and HSV encephalitis, a rare and life-threatening condition.
