Seven-year-old N Harshitha from Hyderabad was like any other bright, cheerful child. It all started with a simple fever, but her condition kept worsening. Her parents rushed her from one hospital to another, only to be told the unthinkable: Harshitha is suffering from infective endocarditis, a life-threatening illness that has now severely affected her heart and other organs.
