Doctors at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, Kerala (1.9km from Edappally Railway Station), have advised chemotherapy followed by maintenance therapy to help her recover. The treatment, however, is extensive and will require a prolonged course of medical care.

Mrinalini comes from a humble family of five. Her father, Rajesh, works as a driver, while her mother, Remani, is a housewife.
