Twelve-year-old Mayank Patil from Pune, Maharashtra, has spent much of his young life in and out of hospitals, growing up far too familiar with needles, blood transfusions, and long days of waiting. Diagnosed with Thalassemia Major shortly after birth, Mayank’s condition was first noticed when his parents saw his face turn unusually pale. Medical tests soon confirmed their fears, marking the beginning of a long and exhausting journey.
