On March 11, 2023, Lenka Appalanaidu and Thorothu Bangarulakshmi were overjoyed to welcome their baby girl into the world, filled with dreams and hope for her future. But their joy was short-lived. At just 1 year and 10 months old, their daughter has been diagnosed with Thalassemia Major —a severe blood disorder that can be fatal without urgent medical intervention.
