For the past ten months, little Kaivalya Upadhye from Latur, Maharashtra, has spent more time in hospitals than at home. Diagnosed at birth with Decompensated Liver Disease (Neonatal Cholestasis Syndrome – Biliary Atresia), his fragile body has been fighting a battle far too difficult for a child so young. What should have been a joyful journey of first smiles and tiny milestones has instead become a constant struggle for survival.
