Hala Hamza is a one-year-old baby girl from Malappuram, Kerala. When she was just one month old, she developed a high fever and seizures and was rushed to the hospital. After extensive medical investigations, doctors diagnosed her with Global Developmental Delay and Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, along with severe lung complications, including diffuse lung parenchymal changes, bilateral mosaic attenuation, and collapse consolidation of the right and left lower lobes.“Hala is my whole world. Watching her suffer and knowing I cannot afford her treatment breaks me every day. I pray that kind hearts will help us give her a future.”
Hala, has been removed from the ventilator and is currently on BiPAP support. The keyhole surgery to remove the pus has not been performed yet, as a bacterial infection was detected in the culture report. Antibiotic treatment has been initiated to control the infection.

In addition, she is being given injections for his low immunity. The doctor has said that she will need to stay in the hospital for another three to four weeks. The infection and shrinkage of the lungs are decreasing.
Hala Hamza is current condition is critical due to a pus infection in the brain. Treatment is ongoing with alternative medications to help the baby recover. Antibiotics are being given now, and if there is no improvement, surgery will be required to remove the pus.
