Ekansh has been battling Biliary Atresia-related Chronic Liver Disease since birth. In 2016, doctors were forced to remove his gall bladder in an attempt to stabilize his condition. For years, his family held on to hope that this would be enough. However, a few months ago, that hope was shaken when Ekansh suddenly began vomiting blood. Fresh tests revealed that his liver disease had progressed, and doctors advised an urgent Living Donor Liver Transplant as the only way to save his life.

Ekansh is currently under care at Nanavati Max Super Specialty Hospital in Mumbai, Maharashtra (900m from Vile Parle East Railway Station), where the estimated cost of treatment is Rs. 16,50,000/- (Rupees Sixteen Lakh Fifty Thousand Only). His father, Duman Kamade, works as a farm labourer and earns very little to support a family of six. To make matters harder, the family is already burdened with debt, and Ekansh’s mother, Archana, is herself undergoing treatment for cancer.

Despite everything, Duman has not stepped back. He has come forward as Ekansh’s liver donor, determined to give his son a chance at a healthy life.

This family is fighting more than one battle at a time. With support and compassion, Ekansh can look forward to a future filled with strength, healing and the simple joys every child deserves.
