On July 10th, 2024, Aswathy Prathap and George Rojan welcomed their baby boy, Edwin, into the world. But their joy was short-lived. At just nine months old, Edwin has been diagnosed with biliary atresia, he has underwent a kasai portoenterostomy procedure: a surgery to create a bile drainage path, but has subsequently developed another liver complication, which requires an urgent liver transplant.
