Since birth, Divya Patil, a 6-year-old girl from Belgaum, Karnataka, has been living with a rare and challenging condition, arthrogryposis with bilateral vertical talus deformity and bilateral wrist and hand contractures. While other children her age run and play freely, Divya has struggled with restricted movement, making even simple daily activities difficult.

Her parents noticed her condition from the very beginning, and over the years, they have done everything possible to support her. Despite the physical limitations, Divya remains a cheerful child, finding joy in small moments and showing strength beyond her years.

Doctors at Bhagawan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Bengaluru, Karnataka (4km from KSR Bengaluru City Junction Railway Station), have advised a a bilateral open reduction of the talonavicular joint with calcaneal lengthening and osteotomy (Mosca Procedure). This surgery can significantly improve her mobility and give her a chance to walk and use her hands more comfortably. The cost of treatment is Rs. 2,50,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand Only), which is a huge burden for thefamily.

Divya’s father, Anil Patil, works as a driver and is the sole earner for a family of six, while her mother, Sunanda Patil, cares for the home and their children. With limited income and rising expenses, securing funds for treatment has become extremely difficult.

Yet, Divya’s bright smile reflects courage and hope, a reminder that with timely care and support, her future can be filled with greater independence and joy.
