Doctors at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Telangana (3.5 km from Khairatabad Railway Station) have advised that the baby must stay in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for 7–8 weeks under round-the-clock monitoring, specialised care, and life-support equipment. Each day in the NICU costs around Rs. 28,000, making the estimated total treatment cost Rs. 12,00,000/- (Rupees Twelve Lakh Only).

The father, Velpoor Ganga Sagar, works as a washerman and is the sole earner for his family of six. Despite selling their land and gold, the family cannot meet the overwhelming medical expenses. His modest income barely covers daily needs, leaving them in a dire financial crisis.
