Doctors have diagnosed him with extreme prematurity, extremely low birth weight, respiratory distress syndrome, ventricular septal defect, severe pulmonary arterial hypertension, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and several other complications. He is currently dependent on medical support, and even his feeding takes place through a tube. Doctors have advised an emergency cardiac surgical intervention for a ventricular septal defect, along with a prolonged NICU stay to save his life.

Prince Kurian works as a daily-wage labourer at a chicken farm and is the sole earning member of a family of five.
