Soon after delivery, the doctors noted that baby Kiran was struggling to breathe and maintain stable vital signs. He was rushed for further evaluation, where doctors confirmed that he was suffering from premature birth complications. To give him a fighting chance, he was admitted to the NICU at Hissariya Hospital, Sirsa, Haryana (1.1km from Sirsa Railway Bridge). Doctors have advised a prolonged NICU stay of nearly 35 days to support his fragile body and help him grow stronger.

Sudhir Kumar, Kiran’s father, works as an assistant at an electrical shop. With very limited income, he is the sole earner in a family of five. The family lives in a rented house and is already burdened by debt. Kiran’s mother, Kiran, is a homemaker who spends every moment by her newborn’s side, praying for his recovery.

The cost of Kiran’s treatment is approximately Rs. 3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakh Only). For a family that earns just enough to survive, this amount feels overwhelming. Yet, Sudhir refuses to lose hope. He believes that with timely care and support, his little son will survive and one day thrive.

Every small step forward in the NICU is a reminder that even the tiniest lives carry immense strength, and that hope, when held onto tightly, can make all the difference.
