For Bhagyashree, Every Heartbeat is a Battle

At just four years old, Bhagyashree from Latur, Maharashtra, is once again fighting to keep her small heart going. She has been diagnosed with a serious heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, and doctors say she needs urgent medical intervention to help her breathe easier and grow stronger.

For Ganesh and Anita, this feels like a battle they have already fought once before. When Bhagyashree was just a year old, she underwent surgery to close a hole in her heart, and the family had allowed themselves to hope that the worst was behind them. Now, watching their daughter unwell again and struggling through her days, that hope feels harder to hold on to. Their elder daughter often sees her parents worried and anxious, even as the family tries to keep life as normal as possible for her.

Doctors at Medicover Hospitals, Hyderabad, Telangana (approximately 9 to 12km from Hafizpet Railway Station), have recommended a Balloon Angioplasty of the Pulmonary Artery at the earliest for Bhagyashree. The estimated cost of treatment is Rs. 4,00,000 (Rupees Four Lakh Only).

Ganesh's own heart condition keeps him from working, and the family now depends largely on whatever Anita is able to earn as a domestic help, all while raising two young daughters. With such limited income, arranging a sum this large feels almost impossible for them. Yet even with everything stacked against them, this family refuses to lose hope. All they want is for their little girl to finally breathe easy and get the childhood she deserves.
