“Three months ago, we thought it was just a fever,” says Shalu, his voice heavy with emotion. “We never imagined our little boy would be fighting something so serious at such a young age. Every machine around him frightens us, but his tiny strength keeps us going. As parents, we hold on to hope and pray that he gets the chance to live a full, healthy life.”
Three months ago, life changed forever for little Adhvin, a 10-month-old baby from Alappuzha, Kerala, whose days were once filled with gentle smiles and playful movements. What began as a persistent fever and unusual weakness soon became a cause for deep concern. His parents rushed him to medical consultations and tests, hoping it was something minor. Instead, they were faced with heartbreaking news: Adhvin was diagnosed with high-risk Neuroblastoma.
Adhvin's radiation therpy has started from 13th May for 5 days a week excluding Saturdays and Sundays, he has been advised for maximum twenty sessions and his CBC test and scans will be done in between radiation as per doctors advise.
Adhvin is currently at home, his scan is scheduled on 9th May, after that from 15th May his radiation will start.
Adhvin has successfully completed the induction chemotherapy course. A review has been scheduled for tomorrow, during which the doctors will assess the current condition and decide on the further line of treatment, the child’s health has shown significant improvement.
Adhvin’s chemotherapy protocol has been completed as per the hospital’s instructions. A review has been scheduled for the 28th, during which a PET-CT scan and blood tests will be conducted. Further treatment will be decided based on the results of these tests.
Adhvin’s 8th cycle of chemotherapy is currently underway, and he is expected to be discharged from the Hospital, has his next visit on the 28th April for his CT Scan.

Medication has been initiated to control the infection, and the child is currently admitted to the pediatric ward for monitoring and treatment.
