Little Falakh’s fight for life needs your help

Falakh Shaikh, a ten-month-old baby girl from Greater Mumbai, Maharashtra, began showing worrying symptoms just ten days after birth. She couldn’t digest food properly and struggled to pass urine and stool, leaving her parents anxious and helpless.

After several tests and consultations, doctors delivered a heartbreaking diagnosis: Falakh is suffering from Biliary Atresia-related Chronic Liver Disease, a rare and serious condition affecting her liver.

The doctors at Nanavati Max Super Speciality Hospital, Mumbai, (1 km from Vile Parle Railway Station) have recommended an urgen Living Donor Liver Transplant, the only treatment that can save her life and give her a chance to grow up healthy and happy.But the cost of the surgery Rs 16,50,000 (Rupees Sixteen Lakh Fifty Thousand), is far beyond what her family can afford.

Her father,Mohammed Shahid Shaikh, works as a shop helper and is the sole breadwinner for a family of four, while her mother, Najreen Bano, manages the home. Despite taking loans and seeking help from friends and relatives, they are still unable to gather the required amount.
