“We were supposed to have twins. Unfortunately, one of them passed away after delivery. Now only one remains and I have to do everything in my power to save her but I don’t know how…….”

Rangasamy and Revathi were excited when they found out they were going to have twins. They distributed sweets to every family member back home in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu. However, grim news awaited them.

The twins were delivered in the sixth month of pregnancy and one of them passed away. The surviving baby has breathing issues with birth weight of 570 grams.

Currently, the baby is in the NICU of Tamil Nadu’s Kovai Medical Centre and Hospital (10.1 km from Coimbatore’s Railway Station) and the cost of the treatment is coming at Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakh Only).

Rangasamy is a mere coolie and earns a daily wage. He lives in a rented house with a monthly rent of Rs 3,000 with his family of five. He doesn’t have money to spare as he has already spent a fortune on the treatment.
