A Little Girl Who Just Wanted to Go to School

"My daughter always reminded me that hard days do not last. Now I hold on to those words myself, every single day at her bedside. I am scared, but I will not stop fighting for her. She deserves to be back home, laughing and studying, just like before."

Rajesh ;(Father)

Akshara, an 11-year-old girl from Wadakanchery, Thrissur, Kerala, was looking forward to the start of a new academic year when life took a sudden and devastating turn. She has been diagnosed with Acute Flaccid Paralysis with brainstem involvement. In this serious neurological condition, the brain's ability to send signals to the muscles is severely disrupted, leaving the body weak and unable to function normally.
