The rampant rainfall has taken the state of Assam by fury. Floods have been reported in regions like Nalbari, Sonitpur, Tinsukia, Jorhat, Barpeta, Kamrup, Goalpara, Kokrajhar and Udalguri. Almost 1,55,896 people have been affected by the floods, along with 84,697 animals. Additionally, eleven deaths have been reported by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA).
It pains our hearts to report these numbers, and the Child Help Foundation feels that it is our collective responsibility as a society to help the stranded people in Assam. That is why the Child Help Foundation has decided to bring relief measures for the people in Assam.
The measures would include Shelter and Food, which includes temporary shelters made from Tarpaulin sheets and access to food, clean drinking water, and essential supplies to displaced families. Child Help Foundation would also provide Financial Assistance and Aid to fund relief and rehabilitation support.
To man our mission, the estimated cost would be Rs 10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs). To amass the funds, we need your support. Click on the donate button, to donate as much as you can. Each donation you make will go towards making the lives of flood-affected people better.
