Meet Niki Shriram Kanojiya, a Std 10th student at Girija Mhatre English High School and Junior College, Palghar.

Two years ago, Niki's father lost his livelihood, a change that altered the course of the family's daily life. Since then, he has been earning a modest living through laundry and ironing services, working hard to keep the household running. Through it all, Niki has remained determined to keep studying, driven by dreams of a better future, not just for herself, but for her entire family.

This year holds particular weight for Niki, as she works towards completing Std 10th, one of the most important milestones in her academic journey. For the 2026-27 academic year, her school fees total Rs. 29,555/- (Rupees Twenty-Nine Thousand Five Hundred Fifty-Five Only), an amount that has become increasingly difficult for her family to manage given their current circumstances.
