Rigvedh, a resilient 4-year-11-months-old boy, faces a challenging journey due to health complications that have required numerous surgeries since birth. Born with Ano-rectal Malformation, Hypospadias with chordee, and cardiac abnormalities, his young life has been a series of medical procedures and ongoing struggles. Instead of the carefree joys of childhood, Rigvedh is confronted with persistent pain and hindrances in performing daily activities.

Despite enduring seven surgeries, Rigvedh still grapples with difficulties in passing stool. His path to recovery includes four more surgeries, crucial for alleviating his immense suffering. The dedicated medical team at Kerala’s Aster MIMS Hospital (3 km from Calicut Railway Station) has proposed procedures like Reconstruction of absent bowel with Anoplasty, closure Colostomy, and Urethroplasty that hold the promise of bringing him relief. But, it will cost approximately Rs 25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs Only.)

The financial burden looms heavily over Rigvedh's family. Shyju V.K., Rigvedh’s father and the sole provider for their family of six, struggles to earn a meagre income of Rs 200-300 per day as a driver. His ability to work consistently is limited due to Rigvedh's health demands, resulting in irregular earnings. The weight of exorbitant medical expenses has already pushed the family into significant debt, accumulating to 10 lakh rupees. The family's resources are thus stretched beyond their means, making it impossible to gather the substantial amount required for Rigvedh’s impending surgeries.
