Child Help Foundation (CHF) supports children across India through education, nutrition and healthcare, so that they can grow up healthy, confident and cared for. Part of that care is celebrating the special days, and this Diwali, CHF is working to make sure more children get to be part of them.

Diwali is the season of lights, new clothes, sweets and gifts. For many of us, the days before the festival are filled with shopping, cleaning and planning, all to make it special for the people we love.

In many less privileged households, the festival looks very different. Families often have to stretch every rupee, and new clothes or toys for the children are usually the first things to be set aside. These children watch the celebrations around them and wait for a Diwali that does not always reach their door.

Child Help Foundation (CHF) works every day to support children in need through education, nutrition and care. This Diwali, CHF is organising a gift distribution to bring the joy of the festival to children from less privileged households.

A gift may look small, yet it can mean a great deal to a child. It tells them that someone remembered them and that they have something of their own to open and enjoy on Diwali.
