Help Keerthiraj for his Cancer Treatment

Keerthiraj lies down on his bed and thinks about his school days when he used to run around the playground with his friends. But now he gets exhausted very easily due to persistent headaches. Lying down on his bed, he sheds silent tears reminiscing his life before he was diagnosed with cancer.

My husband and I had no idea that our 15-year-old son’s life will change in the blink of an eye when he was diagnosed with Pilocytic Astrocytoma. It is a brain tumor that occurs more often in children and young adults (in the first 20 years of life). As the disease progresses, the body becomes more susceptible to infections.

As a young boy, Keerthiraj hates staying back at home and doing nothing. Sometimes, he throws a tantrum telling his parents that it has been very long that he has not met his friends and that he doesn’t want to stay at home.

However, he needs to go for the daily checkup and soon need to undergo External Radiation therapy with volumetric modulated ARC therapy technique (VMAT) 54GY/30FX/6 weeks to the brain and supportive treatment for cancer at Meenakshi Mission Hospital, Tamilnadu.

But my husband is a daily wager who earns by making pots. And the cost estimated by the doctor is Rs. 3,50,000/- (Three Lakhs Fifty Thousand Only). We are not in a position to accumulate such a huge amount. Our savings have been used up and now we have no one to turn for help.
