The cost of her treatment is Rs. 5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh Only) a sum far beyond the reach of her father, Venkatesh, a labourer and sole earner for their family of five. Despite his hard work, Venkatesh’s income barely sustains their daily needs. He has already taken loans and fallen into debt in his effort to save Ammulu.
