“With whatever salary my husband earns, we manage our monthly expenses and other needs. But arranging a number of lakhs is beyond our capabilities. I don’t know how we are going to do that. It has been days since I have had to watch my babies from a distance, hooked to that hospital bed. I want to hold them in my arms and shower them with love, but I don’t even get to touch them. Please help us save our babies, please!”-

Lakshmi was ecstatic to know that she was pregnant with twins and her husband too shared the same excitement. But their joy turned into a nightmare when sudden blood pressure fluctuations followed by abdominal pain called for an immediate delivery Lakhmi gave birth to twin baby girls on 6th March 2023. Unfortunately, she delivered the twins prematurely in her seventh month of pregnancy.

The twins, weighed only around 1000 grams and 650 grams when they were born. They are currently admitted to the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) of the Anu My Baby Hospital, Andhra Pradesh. The twins are suffering from extreme preterm symptoms and respiratory distress syndrome. The doctors have proposed prolonged ventilator support and supportive care as a part of the babies’ treatment. The estimated cost of the treatment is 13,00,000 /- (Rupees Thirteen Lakhs Only).

The hospital bills are very high, and Lakshmi and her husband have exhausted all of their personal resources paying the bills. Currently, they are managing the bills by taking personal loans. They live in a rural place in Penamaluru Krishna, Andhra Pradesh.  Mr Kella Seetha Ram works at a cable network operating office and earns a minimum salary. He is the sole breadwinner in the family of four. At this crucial stage, Lakshmi needs your help. Your valuable donation can make a difference in the lives of Lakshmi and her babies.
