Tanuja, a 13-year-old girl, was a lively child until a few months ago when she fell ill with jaundice. What seemed like a common illness soon turned into a nightmare for her family. After several tests, doctors discovered her platelet count was alarmingly low, and she was experiencing unexpected bleeding. This shocking diagnosis led them to Jupiter Hospital in Pune, Maharashtra (13 km from Pune Railway Station) where they learned the devastating truth: Tanuja has Aplastic Anaemia, a life-threatening condition where her bone marrow can no longer produce sufficient blood cells.

Doctors have recommended a Bone Marrow Transplant as her only chance of survival. The cost of this treatment is Rs. 20,00,000 (Rupees Twenty Lakh Only), a sum far beyond what her family can afford. Tanuja’s father, Rajendra, works as a labourer, and with a family of five to support, they are already in debt after trying every means to fund her care.
