“The past few years have been extremely difficult. Ever since I lost my husband, I have been doing my best to take care of my children. But ever since my son’s cancer diagnosis, I have never felt more alone. How would I be able to save him from such calamity.”

Swagat Barik lives with his siblings and his mother in Urduna, Odisha. Currently, they live in a rented house for treatment. He has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoid Leukemia.The condition has riddled him with fever and pain.

According to the doctors at Chhatisgarh’s BALCO Medical Centre, (24.6 km from Raipur Railway Station) Swagat’s treatment would cost Rs.3,22,690/- (Rupees Three Lakh Twenty Two Thousand Six Hundred And Ninety Only), which would include All Induction, Consolidation and Reinduction (3 Cycles).

Swagat dreams of providing for his family when he grows up and helping his mother finally get rest. But the condition is making that dream appear more distant than ever.
