“We were living a normal life and were happy. Suddenly this news broke to us and we were completely devastated when we learned that our daughter was suffering from a disorder. She was a healthy girl who used to go about her regular routine; we could not tell that she had such a terrible defect.”-

Sinchana is an eight-year-old daughter of Mr Mallikarjun and Mrs Laxmi. They hail from Kalaburagi, Karnataka. Mr Mallikarjun (father) works in construction as a laborer and earns around 8000/- a month. Mrs Laxmi (mother) works on a farm and earns about 200/- a day. They struggle to make enough money to sustain their family. During a school medical checkup a few years ago, the physicians discovered a problem with Sanchana's spine and advised a scan. The scans would cost roughly 8000/- (Rupees Eight Thousand Only). After the scan results, the physicians informed the parents that there was no major problem and it would heal overtime.

After a few years, Mr Mallikarjun discovered that her daughter's body shape was changing abnormally and that her walking hand motions were incorrect. They took Sinchana to the closest hospital, where scans revealed she was diagnosed with Congenital Kyphoscoliosis, a spine defect. The parents took Sinchana to Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital and were informed by the experts that surgery is the only available treatment for this defect. The estimated cost of the surgery is Rs. 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakh Only). The family struggles to make ends meet, making it practically impossible to arrange such a large sum of money. Please help them arrange the funds required to treat their daughter and live a normal healthy life.
