“Each chemotherapy session steals a piece of innocence from my child,
leaving behind tears and agonizing pain.I yearn to put an end to his suffering.
Please help my son.”-
Muhammed Shiras, a courageous 15-year-old, has been confronting cancer
for the past eight months, enduring relentless chemotherapy sessions that
have eclipsed the joy in his days with relentless pain and suffering. Despite
this, he tenaciously continues his studies, navigating through 10th standard
curriculum via online classes.
Under the care of doctors at Kerala's Lakeshore Global Lifecare Hospital(9 kms
from Ernakulam North Railway Station), Shiras will face an additional five
rounds of chemotherapy along with a year-long treatment plan. The
expenses for each chemotherapy session hover around 15,000 rupees,
accumulating to a daunting total treatment cost of Rs 7,00,000 (Rupees
Seven Lakhs Only).
Shiras's father, M.A. Navas, a painter by profession, grapples with an unsteady
income. Supporting a family of five in a rented apartment, the family
struggles hard to meet their basic needs, let alone the exorbitant medical
bills.
Before the onset of chemotherapy, a costly operation relieved congestions in
Shiras's chest, draining the family's savings by an additional 5 lakhs. To cover
these exorbitant medical expenses Navas has already exhausted all avenues,
borrowing from friends and relatives.
The dire circumstances and overwhelming medical expenses weigh heavily
on the family. Any assistance or support extended to Muhammed Shiras
would be an invaluable lifeline in his battle against cancer.
