““My daughter is nine months old, yet she can’t crawl to me. The tumour in her spinal cord has caused her legs to be paralyzed. She is my first and only child, I have no words to express how much I love her. Even the thought of her going through so much pain makes my heart and soul shiver, knowing that she has cancer has made me lose countless nights of sleep.”-

Shifa, a nine-month-old girl, has been separated from her loving parents, Sharukh and Asma, and confined to the ICU of Telangana, Hyderabad's Rainbow Children's Hospital (16.9 km from Hyderabad Railway Station). She has been diagnosed with Neuroblastoma.

According to the doctors, she needs to undergo chemotherapy which costs Rs 8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakhs Only). But each chemotherapy session takes a toll on her, making her weak.

Sharukh works as a video editor and is the sole breadwinner in his family of three. He lives in a rented house and has chosen to take the help of his friends, relatives and some NGOs to fund the bills. But it hasn’t been enough.
