“How could we have known that our son’s life would be completely obliterated by a bike accident? It’s like my boy of seventeen years has turned into a little child once again, looking at his parents for help.”-

It all started with a fall from a bike, which introduced a host of complications in the life of seventeen-year-old Ritesh. He has a wound in his leg, which regularly bleeds. His days have been plagued by vomiting.

According to the doctors at Patna’s Savera Cancer and Multispeciality Hospital in Bihar, Ritesh is suffering from ‘Malignant Mesenchymal Tumor Osteosarcoma High Grade (RT) Tibia’, a deadly type of cancer. He needs to undergo amputation, chemotherapy and radiation, which costs Rs.5,50,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh Fifty Thousand Only).

This came as a huge blow to Ritesh’s parents, Balistar, who has no way of arranging the required money. Balistar is unemployed and relies on loans to sustain his family of five. Ritesh dreams of starting a business to help his family, but his condition has made it impossible.
