A Dreadful Accident Has Impacted Reksha’s Brain Severely, Help Her Recover!

“Never in my life, I’ll forget the dreadful moment when I learned that my eldest daughter met with an accident and got injured in her head. She was immediately rushed to the hospital by a few good people who were around when the accident took place. When we reached the hospital, the doctors had already started the treatment as there was a huge blood loss. I mustered all my courage to look at my child, lying unconscious on a hospital bed.  It was a horrible picture to look at. She was covered with tubes and needles, injuries everywhere on her body, and she was on ventilator support. My brave daughter has undergone several brain surgeries and yet it seems that nothing is helping her to recover. I cannot look at my daughter in this state anymore.”-

Mrs. Rekha ; (Mother)

For a mother to see her child in a hospital bed struggling to survive is the worst of situations she has to face.

The nine-year-old daughter of Mr. Amruth Sreeraj and Mrs. Rekha Raju from Kerala met with an awful road accident. Reksha was immediately rushed to the Aster Medcity hospital, Kerala. She had severe injuries on her head which impacted her brain functioning. So far Reksha has undergone three minor and 5 major brain surgeries; for this, a part of her skull was removed and was placed back after two months of the surgeries.

The doctors have advised keeping Reksha under observation for another few months and shifting her from ICU to special wards as and when required. Reksha gets daily physiotherapy sessions to improve her recovery, but nothing seems to help. The estimated cost of further treatment is Rs. 19,50,000/- (Rupees Nineteen Lakhs Fifty Thousand Only). Now, the doctors have said that Reksha needs to undergo surgery, forcing the family to raise Rs 4,45,000/- (Rupees Four Lakhs Forty Five Thousand Only) more. Her family is only living in hopes that divine intervention will bring their daughter back to health and she will start playing and moving around again. You can help them to win this battle, please help them in their miserable times.

“We own a small stitching centre through which we manage to get enough money that suffices for our monthly expenses. But it has been months since we have not worked because of our daughter’s accident. We are losing our business and therefore losing our only source of income. We have spent Rs. 23,00,000/- so far for Reksha’s treatment and now we are left with not even a penny. I just want my daughter to be with me, happy and healthy. But I do not know how and when that time will come. Please, we need your help, please save our daughter!” -Mrs. Rekha (Mother)
