“My son, Peerappa, has not let his condition stop him. He wishes to study and excel in his life. Peerappa is a teenager who studies hard to ensure that his parents won’t have to live a life of hardship in the future. However, his diagnosis of Kyphoscoliosis has made his resolve a bit harder.

According to the doctors at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital (4.0 km from Bengaluru Railway Station), Peerappa needs to undergo surgery that would cost Rs.5,50,000/- (Rupees Five Lakh Fifty Thousand Only).

Malappa and his wife, Bhagamma, work as farmers and earn very little. They are the only earning members in the family of four. They have received some help from their village council but he still needs more.
