Heart Defect Causes Agony, Help Rishvith Fight for His Life

Just a few days after Rishvith was born, his parents received the heart-wrenching news, that their newborn had a rare and severe congenital heart defect. Their world was turned upside down in an instant. Now, two years later, Rishvith’s condition has only worsened. He struggles even to eat properly, a simple task no child should ever have to endure.

Doctors at Care Hospital in Hyderabad, Telengana (5 km from the Deccan Railway Station) have advised that Rishvith urgently requires a complex surgery -Routing of PAPVC to LA, Left Lower Pulmonary Veno Plasty, and PDA Ligation, to have any chance at survival. The cost of this critical procedure is Rs. 4, 00,000 (Four lakh rupees), an amount that is simply beyond his father’s reach.

Aavind, Rishvith’s father, is a labourer who works tirelessly, but his earnings are barely enough to cover his family’s basic needs. He has turned to friends and well-wishers for help, but the financial burden continues to be overwhelming.
