A few months ago, Madhavan’s parents noticed that his belly was becoming abnormally protruded. Worried, they visited multiple hospitals. After a series of tests, they received heartbreaking news—Madhavan was diagnosed with Gaucher Disease, a rare genetic disorder. This condition requires regular enzyme replacement therapy, the only hope to relieve his suffering and help him lead a healthy life.

Madhavan is currently being treated at Rainbow Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad, Telangana (8.9 km from Hyderabad Deccan Railway Station), where doctors have advised that the cost of treatment will be Rs. 8,00,000 (Rupees Eight Lakh Only). Maheshwar, a barber, earns a meagre income and has already fallen into debt trying to save his son. His wife Alekha, a housewife, is by his side, but they are struggling to meet the medical expenses.
