But right now, my son's days seem numbered as he is battling a severe respiratory disease. My son is everything to me but seeing him suffer in such pain has drowned my heart in sorrow. Lakshmi Reddy, the little bundle of joy of Changamreddy and Puli Bhavani, has the unfortunate fate of battling recurrent respiratory tract infections. Constant vomiting and slow weight gain have plagued his days. Even after undergoing surgery, the woes of the seven-months-old child are far from over. Away from his plush toys, Lakshmi Reddy has been confined to a bed at Sowmya Childrens Hospitals, Hyderabad, where he has to rely on a ventilator support for breathing, The doctors have advised for Lakshmi Reddy to undergo esophageal dilatation.

Changamreddy is a daily wage earner from Bengaluru, who works on a contractual basis. On his best day, he earns Rs 350/- per day. But his meagre salary is not enough to pay the debt that he has incurred for the surgery. Overall, the total cost of his son’s treatment is Rs 4,00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakh Only).  With his family drowning in debt, Changamreddy has no way of paying for the expensive bills of the hospital, except through your generosity.
