It was only a couple of months ago that everything seemed fine for the young thirteen-year-old Kainat. She was a bright young child who had dreams of becoming a doctor. But then her dreams came crashing down when dread started knocking on her doors. It started when Kainat had problems with breathing, upon the doctor’s examination, it was found that Kainat has been suffering from a severe heart issue called ‘Mitral Valve Prolapse’.

According to the doctors at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kerala, Kainat needs Mitral Valve Repair with Annuloplasty Ring as early as possible. But the cost of the treatment is Rs. 6,00,000/- (Rupees Six Lakhs Only).

Jahidulla works as a daily wage labourer who earns just enough to put food on the table for his family of six. The family is managing to pay for the expenses by skipping meals.
