“How did it come to this? We were excited for our first baby only a few months ago, but now everything has changed. Our lives have turned into despair, and my child is fighting for his life in the hospital. What have I done to deserve this?”-

It all started with bleeding from Joel’s ear. After undergoing a blood test, it was discovered that his platelet level was alarmingly low. Later it was confirmed that he was diagnosed with ‘Aplastic Anemia’.

Today, Joel resides in a rented room near the hospital, and his platelet level continues to fluctuate. Doctors at HCG Cancer Centre in Vishakapatnam, Andhra Pradesh have said that he needs a bone marrow transplant worth Rs.7,23,000/- (Rupees Seven Lakh and twenty three Only). He has been shifted to Christian Medical College in Vellore, Tamil Nadu.

Joel’s father, Dayadhan, works as a daily wage labourer and earns a meagre living. Till now he has managed to pay for his son’s expenses by borrowing from loved ones. But he needs your kindness now, as he has exhausted his funding sources.
