“It’s been more than six years since my daughter, Hridya, was born. But those six years have been filled with excruciating pain and misery. Sleep and comfort both have become distant strangers to her. She recently celebrated her sixth birthday and by her next birthday I wish to gift her with a carefree life.”

Hridya Sunil lives with her family of five in Thrissur, Kerala. She has been diagnosed with Bony Ankylosis in the Right TM Joint. Ankylosis is an alteration of the normal architecture of the joint, causing a partial or total reduction in the ability of a joint to move. Hridya has ankylosis in her TM Joint which connects the lower jaw to the skull.

The ankylosis has caused intense misery for her. She experiences breathlessness which has made it difficult for her to sleep. She often wakes up in the middle of the night due to difficulty.

According to doctors at Kerala’s Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (13 km from Kochi Railway Station), Hridya’s treatment costs Rs.4, 00,000/- (Rupees Four Lakh Only).

Hridya’s father, Sunil, works as a painter and earns a daily wage. He has borrowed heavily from loved ones to fund the treatment.
